This website has no submission form. You can contact the email address above. Support emails are handled personally by the operator only to respond to questions, troubleshoot issues and handle privacy requests. Emails and their attachments are retained for 90 days after the issue is resolved, then deleted.

1. Records and local storage

Your profile name, avatar, height, weight, strength and cardio workouts, climbing sessions, food and body records, notes and attached media are stored in the app’s device storage. They support logging, calculations, display and review. Local profiles are stored separately. Preferences such as language, favorite exercises and Watch appearance are also stored locally.

LIGHTWAVE does not upload these records to a developer server, include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics, or use records for cross-app advertising tracking. It does not provide automatic cloud synchronization of your full history, media or settings. Current-workout collaboration with a paired Watch is described below.

2. Photos, videos and exercise demonstrations

When you add an avatar or media, the system photo picker provides the items you choose and LIGHTWAVE saves an in-app copy. This does not grant access to your entire photo library. The system may download selected items from iCloud Photos. Media can retain metadata included in the original files.

Deleting an in-app copy does not delete the original in Photos. Media is optional. Exercise demonstrations are included with the app and play locally; watching them does not send your records to the asset provider.

3. Apple Watch workout collaboration

Apple WatchConnectivity sends the current strength, cardio or climbing activity’s title, times, language and local profile and activity identifiers to your paired Watch. Strength workouts also include exercises and sets. Watch can edit weight, reps, duration and completion, or delete the current set, and send changes back to iPhone. Cardio shows status and elapsed time and can request ending the current item or completing a mixed or cardio-only workout, with iPhone confirming the save. Climbing still ends on iPhone. Detailed planning, cardio values and route entry remain on iPhone.

Offline changes are saved on Watch before synchronization is attempted. Conflicting changes remain available for review rather than automatically replacing iPhone values. Switching profiles or deleting a phone record does not instantly erase all pending copies on an offline Watch; review and discard conflicts there as needed. This feature does not transfer your full history, avatar or private photos, and is not cloud sync between multiple iPhones.

4. Optional Apple Health recording

After you enable and authorize Health recording, confirming the start of a strength, cardio or climbing activity lets Apple Watch automatically track heart rate and active energy, then save the workout to Apple Health when it ends. Turn automatic recording off in LIGHTWAVE on iPhone under Settings → Privacy & permissions → Apple Health, or under Health tracking on Watch. An iPhone setting change takes effect after it syncs to Watch and Watch confirms it. You can still log sets without permission. Turning automatic recording off does not revoke system permissions or delete existing Health data.

LIGHTWAVE links the workout using exact local profile, session and Health identifiers. Paired devices sync only these links and the automatic-recording setting. With permission, iPhone reads the matching workout’s average heart rate, active energy and heart-rate chart from Apple Health. Only actual readable measurements from this activity are shown; without measurements, its health card stays hidden. If you remove the watch or collection is interrupted, existing measurements are kept. Missing periods are not estimated, and the heart-rate chart does not bridge collection gaps. Raw samples are excluded from LIGHTWAVE manual backups, are not uploaded to developer servers, and are not used for advertising or data mining. A Health save failure does not delete manual LIGHTWAVE records.

You can manage read and write permissions and saved data in Health or system settings. Revoking permission, deleting a LIGHTWAVE record or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete existing Health records. Apple Health storage, synchronization and access by other authorized apps depend on your system settings.

5. Live Activities and the Lock Screen

Active workout or climbing summaries can appear on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, including workout or exercise names, venue names, timers and completion counts. People who can see your Lock Screen may see these details. Manage LIGHTWAVE Live Activities in system settings. Tapping an activity returns to the corresponding record.

The app updates activities locally, without a developer push server.

6. Location and Apple Maps

Maps and venue searches use Apple MapKit. Apple services process search terms, map regions and information needed to provide the service. Location features request When In Use permission for positioning the map, nearby searches and distances. LIGHTWAVE does not continuously log your route or track location in the background. Venues you confirm, including their names, addresses and coordinates, are stored locally.

You can search or enter a venue manually without location permission, and change permission in system settings. Opening Apple Maps is subject to its own policy. Apple Maps & Privacy

7. Purchases and restoring purchases

Apple App Store handles in-app purchases and restoring purchases. LIGHTWAVE reads verified transaction information on device to determine access. It does not receive your payment card details. Available products and prices are shown in the App Store interface.

Purchase access and local profiles are separate. Restoring a purchase does not restore workouts, photos or videos. App Store & Privacy

8. Backups, sharing and deletion

In Data & Backup → Backup & Restore, you can export the current profile’s records and media to a location or recipient you choose. Exported backups are not encrypted. A cloud drive or other recipient handles its copy under its own rules. Backups exclude Apple Health samples, the Watch’s pending queue, purchase access and bundled exercise demonstrations.

You can edit or delete records and media. Clearing records applies to the current profile, as described by the confirmation screen, and retains profile details, venues and the exercise library. Deleting a whole profile requires system Face ID, Touch ID or device-passcode verification and a further confirmation. LIGHTWAVE receives only the result, not biometric data or your passcode.

Data remains until the corresponding deletion action. In-app deletion does not retract photo-library originals, exported backups, Health records or pending copies on an offline Watch; manage these separately. The developer has no server copy and cannot recover deleted records without your backup. System device backups depend on your settings. The background privacy cover is not additional file encryption or an app lock.

9. Updates and website access

This policy will be updated when data handling changes. New permissions are requested when the relevant feature is used.

Cloudflare Pages hosts these static support and privacy pages. When you open a page, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, traffic routing, system configuration and other network-request information to provide, maintain and protect its services. Retention depends on the service purpose, the nature of the information and applicable legal requirements. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. The 90-day deletion period for support emails does not apply to the hosting provider’s data.

This website adds no analytics or advertising scripts, remote fonts, cookies or upload form. This website does not configure separate access-log exports or storage. Cloudflare’s own service data handling remains subject to its policy. Opening these pages does not send your in-app workouts, media or Health records to the hosting provider. Email links open your mail app; external links lead to websites that handle visits under their own policies.
